Congestion near Farrars Arms junction following accident

Congestion built up in the surrounding areas

Traffic congestion has been building up on Oldham Road following reports of a crash between a car and a motorcycle close to the Farrars Arms junction.

Congestion was building in the surrounding areas, including Brookway, Clough Lane, Mossley Road, High Grove Road, Church Road and Oaklands Road.

A statement on the GMP Saddleworth & Lees Facebook page read: "Accident - Road Diversions.

"An accident has taken place at the junction of Oldham Road and Mossley Road - Farrars Arms junction.

"Please avoid the area as Oldham Road past the Farrars is closed and you can't access.

"Diversion to go over Scouthead or via Bottom Mossley."
