Investigations continue after woman in her 80s is hospitalised following road collision in Royton

Emergency services were called the scene and a woman in her 80s was taken to hospital
Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit has appealed for information as investigations into a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Royton continue.
At around 10:10am on Tuesday (April 4), a Seat Leon was driving northbound along Oldham Road in Royton towards the junction with Sparrow Street.
At the same time, a female pedestrian crossed the first half of the carriage way, when she attempted to cross the second half of the carriageway the vehicle collided with the pedestrian.
Emergency services were called the scene and a woman in her 80s was taken to hospital.
The driver remained at scene and assisted officers with enquiries.
No arrests have been made.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
