Oldham’s heroes of the hills collected a £1,000 cheque from kind-hearted Dovestone WI in a surprise presentation.
The Rescue Team’s chairman Rob Jones collected the cheque, raised during Dovestone WI's community-driven Christmas markets.
Said Rob: “Thanks again to Dovestone WI for all their efforts both for us and others locally - fantastic effort!”

The team of more than 50 volunteers provide a professional rescue service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
