A van crashed into a building close to the crossroads shortly before 2am today, leading to Middleton Road being closed in both directions for several hours between Featherstall Road South and Plato Street.
Along with the woman who was taken to hospital for her injuries, another woman suffered minor injuries.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: "At around 1.45am today (Monday, 17 April 2023), emergency services were called to reports of a van colliding with a building on Featherstall Road South, Oldham.
"One woman received minor injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Social media images showed a van and a black car had both sustained damage, with the van having crashed into the Manchester and County Bank Ltd building at the junction of Middleton Road and Featherstall Road South.
The crash caused traffic delays as motorists were diverted.
