Warm-hearted Sheina gets arty in appreciation of her Visiting Angels

Date published: 26 April 2023

Client Sheina Burns was so delighted with the care she and her husband has received from Oldham home care specialists Visiting Angels, she painted a picture in a bid to reflect her warm feelings towards the company's dedicated staff.

Sheina, who lives in Shaw with her husband George, has been assisted by Visiting Angels since October, 2022.

They deliver three hours of care on Wednesdays - two hours of domestic duties and one hour of companionship for George.

Visiting Angels Managing Director Roxie Taj told the Chronicle: "After meeting us, Sheina decided to paint an oil painting for the staff and personally came to our offices (on Featherstall Road South) to deliver the painting.

"She said the painting helped her and George remind themselves of who we are as a company.

"In return, she asked for us to donate to a charity, which we are looking to do nearer Christmas time.

"It was just a unique and person-centred gesture

"Sheina, in her mind, wanted to capture what she felt and saw about us as a company, and she certainly did that.

"It is a beautiful transformation of the appreciation of our care service into artistic display.

"I saw it as reflection of the beautiful woman who had taken her time to paint this for us - she is an angel."
