Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to appeal for information after a 38-year-old woman from Chadderton tragically died following a car crash on M66 in Bury at the weekend.

On Saturday (May 13) at around 3:10pm, GMP were called to reports of a serious collision between two vehicles travelling southbound on the M66.

Frankie Jules-Hough, who was from Chadderton, was left with serious injuries after the crash.

Frankie was travelling with her two sons, Rocky, two, Tommy, nine, and her nephew, Tobias, four, when the crash took place between Pilswoth Interchange and Simister Island.

The family were taken to hospital by air ambulance and the children remain in critical care.

Sadly, Frankie died in hospital yesterday (Monday) as a result of her injuries.

Her family and loved ones are currently being supported by specialist officers and support services at this incredibly difficult time.

A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Adil Iqbal (aged 22), of Hope Street in Accrington, has been charged with one count of causing death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court yesterday afternoon and was further remanded into custody to appear at court a later date.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses, dash cam footage and information, and wish to extend thanks to those who have already made contact.

"Words cannot express what (Frankie's) family and friends are going through now, not to mention her poor boys who now have to grow up without their mummy and sister they never got to meet," a GoFundMe page - set up by Debbie Wright in a bid to support Frankie's family - reads.
