Oldham set to stay settled and warm for now, but no heatwave yet
Date published: 25 May 2023
There was plenty of cloud over Oldham Edge this lunchtime (Thursday)
Oldham weather expert Jon Baylis is abroad sunning himself at present, so it's a shorter than usual forecast ahead of the weekend.
It appears Oldhamers are also set for plenty of sunshine over the next few days, so don't feel you need to join Jon in the Greek Islands just yet!
The overall picture for the next seven days or so is high pressure in charge, but it looks likely that the position of the high will not necessarily favour a heatwave due to the airflow around it (i.e. we don’t drag up any heat from the South).
That said, it will still be settled and warm at times with sunny spells on offer.
Clear skies at night will allow for a few fresh mornings.
There is little to no rain expected, and HIGH UV levels throughout.
Updates will continue as always on Twitter (follow @ChadWeather), so head there for your local daily forecasts.
