Police step up search for man who dropped a large machete at Piccadilly station

British Transport Police Officers investigating a man carrying a machete at Manchester Piccadilly station are releasing this image in connection.
At around 10am on Sunday, April 30, a man dropped a large machete as he approached the station's Piccadilly Approach entrance.
Despite first returning to retrieve the weapon, he decided against it when he realised onlookers had witnessed him drop the machete.
Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have useful information which could help their investigation.
