Tandle Hill park rescue drama

A boy had come off a rope swing in Tandle Hill Park, landed awkwardly and sustained a lower leg injury
The Oldham Mountain Rescue Team had a busy day on Saturday.
It started just after 9am with a request for support from a neighbouring team, Rossendale and Pendle MRT.
The casualty was assessed by North West Ambulance Service paramedics and then transported by stretcher to the awaiting ambulance.
Eight OMRT personnel were involved for one hour and 30 minutes.
Just after lunchtime, the team received a second request from North West Ambulance Service to support with the extraction of a casualty in Tandle Hill Country Park in Royton.

The boy was assessed by North West Ambulance Service paramedics and then transported by a team stretcher to an awaiting ambulance.
Thirteen OMRT personnel were involved for two hours and 30 minutes.
