A scene from the incident near Dovestones
Yesterday evening (Thursday) an Oldham Mountain Rescue team were asked by North West Ambulance Service for assistance with a male who had fallen in a stream near Dovestones, suffering several injuries in the process.
After using the Oldham team's keys to give the ambulance access, they were able to drive close to where the casualty was and carried out an assessment.
Mountain Rescue then assisted the crew in loading the casualty onto their stretcher and into the ambulance for onward transport to hospital.
A total of OMRT personnel were involved for just under an hour.
