In a bid to better improve active travel in the town centre, Oldham council workers will be carrying out works on West Street and Cheapside from next week - the works will last a total of 12 months.
The improvements will include the construction of a new cycleway into the town centre, updated footways and sustainability features including rain gardens and tree planting.
On Monday (September 25), the link between the Cheapside and West Street bus stations at Oldham will be closed for approximately six months for improvement works.
Services that normally use West Street to access Cheapside will now have to divert via Rochdale Road, St Mary's Way into Cheapside bus station.
The no-left turn at Cheapside bus station is to be taken away to facilitate bus movements.
For some services, the stands may have changed.
Please view the diversions guide on the TfGM website for more information.
