Transport officers make arrests during night of targeted action

Greater Manchester Police's Transport Unit officers were out in force on Saturday night, making a number of arrests and issuing traffic offence tickets.
A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebok page read: "#GMPTransportUnit operate across the entire of Greater Manchester, we had officers out in Oldham, Rochdale, Bolton, Tameside, Salford, North Manchester and Manchester city centre.
"The unit utilises specialist trained officers to proactively target offenders using the various forms of Manchester's Transport Network.
"Last night: four offenders were arrested, 18 individuals were stopped, six vehicles were seized for no insurance, and 19 traffic offence tickets were issued."
