A female was arrested for an alleged assault during a night of action by police aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour on the Metrolink.
A post on the Greater Manchester Police Oldham Central Facebook page late last night (Thursday) read: "GMP's Transport Unit have been working in partnership with TfGM (Transport for Greater Manchester) and Metrolink tonight, tackling ASB on the Rochdale to East Didsbury line.
"We engaged positively with a number of people.
"However, a female was arrested due to her behaviour towards staff, which resulted in her assaulting an officer.
"GMP will tackle any and all anti-social or abusive behaviour on Greater Manchester's transport network."
