Stephenson will appeal at Minshull Street Crown Court tomorrow
A man has been charged by Tameside CID after an investigation into a suspected stolen vehicle incident.
David Stephenson (aged 50), of no fixed abode, has been charged with kidnap, theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a person, driving with no insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and driving a motor vehicle dangerously.
He will appear at Minshull Street Crown Court tomorrow (Friday).
The charge relates to an investigation by Tameside CID after police received reports of a stolen vehicle when a woman had left her vehicle and kept the engine running so it remained warm whilst her 89-year-old mother sat in the passenger seat in nearby Ashton.
