Failsworth knife robbery incident - police seek information

Police officers have appealed for further information from potential witnesses following a personal robbery in Failsworth.

On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at approximately 10pm, a personal robbery took place near the Failsworth tram stop.

It is understood the victim (aged 17) and his friend was targeted by three young males aged between 16-17 years old.

The victim was forcibly pushed to the ground in a threatening manner by two of the suspects, who threatened the victim with a knife and robbed the victim of his personal belongings including a coat and Apple AirPods.

The other suspect chased after the victim’s friend.

The offenders were seen prior to the offence getting off the tram at Failsworth tram stop on Hardman Lane before the robbery occurred.

Officers are appealing to the public for any information and are looking to speak to the individuals in the images as officers believe they may have further information regarding this incident.
