Man due in court charged with murder following woman's disappearance in 2022

A 61-year-old man has now been charged with Alisha’s murder
A man has been charged with murder following the disappearance of Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin in 2022.
In February 2022, a 24-year-old woman, later named to be Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin from nearby Ashton, was reported missing by her family and an investigation was launched to locate her.
In March 2022, officers arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of murder, but he was later bailed pending further enquiries.
Following further enquiries from Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, a 61-year-old man has now been charged with Alisha’s murder.
David Alex Taylor (aged 61) of Oak Avenue, Willington in Durham, has been remanded into custody.
He will appear at Manchester Crown Court later today (Thursday).
