Two burglaries were reported on Thorp estate in Royton overnight
Greater Manchester Police officers have issued a warning to residents in Royton after two burglaries were reported overnight last night (Tuesday/Wednesday).
A post on the GMP Royton and Shaw Facebook page read: "BE AWARE - burglars operating in the Thorp area of Royton.
"Overnight there have been two burglaries reported on Thorp estate in Royton.
"Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity by ringing 101 - only ring 999 if there is a crime in progress or threat to life.
"Remember to keep valuables locked away out of sight, and your property secure and alarmed.
"If any of our residents have CCTV that may assist police in catching the offenders please ring 101 and quote log ref 680 - 10042024."
