A scene from Wednesday's dramatic rescue incident
Nineteen members of Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were called by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust to assist with a mountain biker who had fallen off his bike in the woods at Park Bridge on Wednesday.
On arrival, the biker was assessed for injuries before being placed in a vacuum mattress for immobilisation.
He was then carried on a stretcher down the hill, to the ambulance.
The rescue team members were involved for one-and-a-half hours.
