Oldhamer Keira named in prestigious UCLan’s Dean’s List Honours for 2024

Keira Penney, a talented pupil from Oldham and an alumna of Saddleworth School, has been honoured by being named in the prestigious Dean's List at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
This recognition highlights her outstanding academic achievements and dedication to excellence in her studies whilst completing her degree apprenticeship.
Keira, who pursued a Digital Marketing Degree Apprenticeship at UCLan, has consistently demonstrated a high level of commitment and academic success.
Her inclusion in the Dean's List is a testament to her hard work, resilience, and the support she has received from her family, teachers, and peers.
In addition to her academic success, Keira was promoted to the role of Head of Creative at Girls in Marketing at just 21 years old, where she inspires and leads with her innovative ideas and passion for the marketing industry.
This position highlights her leadership skills and dedication to empowering young women in the marketing industry.
“I am incredibly honoured to be named in UCLan’s Dean’s List,” said Keira.
“When I first opened the email, I thought it was a joke!
"Achieving prestigious awards like the Dean’s List seemed unrealistic to me.
"My journey has been incredibly rewarding so far, and I am excited to continue pursuing my career in marketing with the same passion and dedication.”
Keira’s journey to this achievement began at Saddleworth School, where she excelled in her studies and developed a strong foundation that has propelled her to success at Oldham Sixth Form College, UCLan and beyond.
Her teachers and former classmates have expressed immense pride in her accomplishments.
