'I'm a Roughyed' is released to a rapturous welcome on the final day of a glorious rugby league season

The Boundary Parkas' new single - "I'm A Roughyed" - was released to great applause on Sunday when the band and Tommy Cannon performed on the pitch at Boundary Park to a record-breaking Oldham rugby league crowd.

Oldham crushed Workington 56-0 before lifting the League One title in front of the biggest crowd of the season at Boundary Park, as the Roughyeds finished the year with their best defensive record in 113 years.

Releasing the single - which is available on CD and across all major digital streaming services - was a great way to celebrate the team being crowned league champions during the final game.

The Boundary Parkas - who featured special guest and comedy legend Tommy Cannon on Sunday - are finishing their project this coming Saturday with a performance on Oldham town hall steps at 7pm.

The Boundary Parkas are singer-songwriter Kieran McMahon, Dirty Laces drummer Luke O’Reilly, Twisted Wheel bass player Harry Lavin and former Strereohaze frontman Charlie Whittaker.
