This year’s legendary Party in the Park - which takes place tomorrow (Saturday) at Delph and Dobcross cricket club - promises an exciting range of artists.
The event, which aims at providing something for everyone of all ages and musical tastes, has a sparkling line-up of talent.
Thr running order for the day will be:
Delph band
Local favourites Spark
Tanni - a top Bob Marley tribute
Madame Claude - one of the best new ska bands
Martin Jarvis - ultimate Tom Jones act
Fuzzy Duck - Indie & Rock classics
Kurtis Ray White - Tamla Motown as seen on X- factor and stars in their eyes
Oasish - UK’s best Oasis tribute band
Tickets are available online now and on sale at Uppermill and Delph post offices.
Organisers say last year was a challenge due to the increased costs associated with hosting the event, but the weather was generally pretty good and a superb turnout from the extraordinarily supportive people of Saddleworth which made it a great success.
And despite higher costs, the Wake Up Delph committee raised enough funds to update and upgrade many of the Christmas lights and decorations around Delph and made donations to Dr Kershaw’s, Christie’s, local support groups for children’s clubs and pensioners meetings.
Everyone on committee wants to express huge gratitude for the excellent support given to the event.
Now, as a thank you for the tremendous support received last year, ticket prices have been pegged at the same price to help ensure another successful event.
