Rescue heroes join forces to aid injured man

Ten Oldham team members and three from Rossendale and Pendle MRT were involved for two-and-a-half hours
Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were contacted by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust to assist with a man who had fallen down a bank and injured his ankle at Hollingworth Country Park.
The Oldham team was deployed along with Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team as it was close to the boundary of their operational area.
Luckily a team member, having lunch at the nearby visitor centre, was able to meet with the ambulance crew and take them to the casualty.
After the ambulance crew provided first aid, they were able to place the man on a stretcher.
He was then carried down the valley to the waiting ambulance.
