Flashback: A scene following the incident on November 15 at Crompton Street
A man has been charged with firearm offences following an incident in Oldham in November.
Daniel Eastmond (aged 41), of Lime Green Road in Oldham, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Tameside Magistrates Court today (Friday).
These charges related to a firearms discharge that took place on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Crompton Street in Oldham, where thankfully no one was injured.
Detective Inspector Richard Castley, from GMP's Serious Organised Crime Group, said: “We have managed to secure a charge against a man for an incident that happened just over a month ago – our investigation has been meticulous and is still ongoing.
"Thanks to our proactive efforts, we are helping to prevent harm and protect our communities from further acts of violence.
"Although most firearm incidents are targeted and do not pose a broader risk to the public, we understand the fear and distress they cause in our communities.”
