A scene from the weekend rescue
Fifteen members of the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team led a hunt to find a party of three people lost on a hillside above Dovestone on Saturday evening.
The team were called by GMP who initially received the emergency call and team members and their vehicles were mobilised to the area.
Using Phone Find technology and with the assistance of a helicopter from the National Police Air Service, the lost party were located at Ashway, high on the hillside.
Once team members were on the scene, the very cold party members were checked over and given extra clothing before starting the walk down.
Waiting for them at the bottom was a warm NWAS ambulance where they were checked over again and warmed up before being allowed home after the rescue, which took three hours.
