Rescue team dash to aid of injured male

Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were called by North West Ambulance Service to assist with a male who had injured their ankle in Alkrington Woods, Middleton.
The team mobilised and were soon on scene and using Phone Find technology.
They were able to locate the injured person and make their way directly to them.
The team were quickly joined by an NWAS paramedic and a North West Air Ambulance medic who assessed the patient.
The ankle was splinted before the patient was placed on a stretcher and carried to a waiting ambulance for the onward journey to hospital.
Fifteen team members were involved for two-and-a-half hours
