There is a new development at Dovestone Sailing Club based at the popular Saddleworth beauty spot - radio controlled model boat sailing.
Beginning with five people in November, there are now more than a dozen regular sailors, with members using their model boats at any time on the reservoir.
There is a very active racing series on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 1pm when around 10 boats compete in eight short races.
The club say all classes of model sailing boat are welcome, but the biggest fleet is the Dragonforce 95 (DF95) class.
The club welcomes new members and advises to arrive Tuesday morning at the sailing club at the reservior about 9:30am.
Alternatively, contact the fleet captain, Nik Lever, via email at: nik.l@dovestonesc.org.uk for more information.
