The Indonesia Jungle Challenge pushed every limit for Steve Hill
While many were enjoying their summer holidays, Deputy Headteacher of St Joseph’s RC Primary, Steve Hill, was embarking on an epic journey across the island of Bali - running coast to coast through some of the toughest terrain imaginable.
The Indonesia Jungle Challenge pushed every limit.
Battling blistering heat, intense humidity and the unforgiving density of jungle and rice fields, fund-raiser and adventurer Steve kept moving forward one step at a time.
Every climb, every river crossing and every gruelling stretch of trail was a test of strength, resilience and determination.
The warmth and friendliness of the Balinese people, always ready with a smile and encouragement, lifted Steve’s spirits and made the challenge an even more unforgettable experience.
Speaking after completing the journey, Steve said: “It has been an amazing adventure - very tough but I’ve loved every minute.
"A huge thank you to everyone who cheered me and supported me - your support and encouragement is greatly appreciated as always.”
With the challenge now complete, and the jungle behind him, Steve is heading home - ready for the start of a brand-new school year at St Joseph’s in Shaw.
