Man charged with GBH after woman assaulted in Shaw

Heffron has been bailed and will appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on February 12 next year
Greater Manchester Police officers investigating an assault of a woman in the early hours of October 27, 2024, have charged a man with Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH).
Thomas Heffron (aged 19) of Rochdale Road, Shaw, has been charged with GBH.
He has been bailed and will appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on February 12, 2026.
Detective Constable Kirstie Masterton said: “We have undertaken multiple enquiries over the last year, and I am glad that we have now been able to secure a charge following an extensive investigation.
“Information provided by the public has been invaluable in helping us piece together what happened.
“We encourage anyone with any further information to please get in touch."
