The wife of a man who died following a collision on Broadway in Royton has paid a heartfelt tribute to him.
At around 5:22pm on Tuesday (March 17), police officers were called to reports of a three-vehicle-collision at the turning into Elk Mill Retail Park.
Occupants of all vehicles suffered injuries but sadly, a male in his 50s, died.
The male has now been named as Michael Margetson from Oldham.
His wife Diane has released a tribute to ‘her rock’, saying: "In loving memory of Michael Margetson.
"You weren’t just a part of our family you were the cornerstone.
"As a husband you were my rock, as a son, a source of pride the greatest storyteller and hug giver.
"Thank you for stepping up, filling our lives with joy, and loving us all so deeply.
"You are now back in your mother’s arms.
"You were not only my husband you were my best friend, my rock.
"Fly high my beautiful, I love you for ever, your loving wife, Diane.
“We kindly ask that everyone respect our family’s privacy at this difficult time and allow us the space to come together and support one another."
