As the team’s vehicles arrived at Chew Bridge, one of the casualty's companions was able to guide the rescuers to his location near Wimberry Boulders.
He was assessed and his quadricep injury (a large muscle group on the femur) was treated by the Team’s doctor before being carried on the stretcher approximately 500m to the waiting ambulance.
Said OMRT leader, Rob Tortoiseshell: "We wish the gentleman all the best for a speedy recovery, and thanks to his companions for helping to carry some of our kit out.”
A total of 14 OMRT personnel were involved for an hour and 30 minutes.
