Zain Muhmud (aged 28), of Yorkdale Road, has been jailed for 24 weeks and disqualified from driving for two years.

Muhmud was arrested by Greater Manchester Police Transport Unit officers in Oldham on Monday after being spotted driving suspiciously.

He subsequently pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and having no insurance at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (October 10).

Police Sergeant Neil Dalley, of GMP’s Transport Unit, said: “It is our mission to ensure everyone can enjoy using the roads of Greater Manchester without the added risk from disqualified, unfit, uninsured or intoxicated drivers by taking them off the roads before anything can happen.”
