American Express opens new North-West hub in Manchester

American Express has opened a new office in Manchester city centre. 

Global services company American Express has announced an expansion of its UK presence with the opening of a new office in Manchester’s city centre. 

The office will act as a small business services hub for Manchester and the North-West, and will focus on sales of the company’s business cards and broader payment solutions - a range of products designed with the payment needs of small and medium sized businesses in mind.

Located at No. 1 Spinningfields and in the heart of Manchester’s financial centre, the opening has created 25 new jobs, including 18 dedicated sales roles.

Commenting on the new office, Colin O'Flaherty, Vice President and General Manager Global Commercial Services UK at American Express, said: “We are excited to be expanding our UK presence with what will be our first dedicated small business services hub for Manchester and the North-West.
