A Team from Pearson Solicitors & Financial Advisers won the 2019 Oldham Corporate Quiz, which is organised by the Oldham Business Awards and raised £1,000 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

The annual fun quiz was held at the White Hart restaurant at Lydgate with 18 teams taking part representing businesses across the borough.

The quiz was sponsored by metal fabrication and wirework specialists AMP Fab and AMP Wire, based in Chadderton.

It was hosted by Martyn Torr, founder of the Oldham Business Awards and former Oldham Chronicle business editor, who is now with the New Image events and PR firm.

Teams of four competed for the trophy and the winning Pearson team consisted of chartered legal executive Asa Cocker, wills, trust and probate solicitor Sarah Finnigan, employment solicitor Victoria Schofield and head of employment law Susan Mayall.

She said a programme of upgrades are underway at the hospice to provide patient rooms with new en-suite bathrooms, windows with garden views and extra space for families to visit loved ones. She thanked all those who had organised and supported the corporate quiz, and was assisted by hospice team colleague Grace Carr.

Last year’s corporate quiz was won by Hollinwood-based neurological physiotherapists Physio Matters. The company entered two teams at this year’s event.
