Organisers are calling for local employers to register their interest for the unique event where there will be access to a huge pool of talent across the region
Employers are invited to sign up for a brand-new virtual jobs fair in April, which aims to provide more than 5,000 new opportunities for jobseekers across the region.
The first event of its kind in the UK, NorthWestWorks4U will establish a connection between jobseekers and companies as the economy faces continued challenges resulting from the pandemic.
The employer-led virtual jobs expo will run over three days, April 6-8, and will showcase at least 5,000 jobs in all growth sectors.
There will also be support and employability content with practical advice about jobs for an expected audience of 20,000 local job seekers in the North West.
Organisers are calling for employers to register their interest for the unique event where there will be access to a huge pool of talent across the region.
NorthWestWorks4U is a unique partnership between DWP, Jobcentre Plus North West, North West Local Enterprise Partnerships and the region’s major private sector employers.
It is being co-organised and supported by TalkTalk and McCann Health.
The event will be broadcast from the Jobs Live platform which allows for live interaction, content delivery, as well as hosting thousands of job vacancies.
Interested employers are invited to attend a Pledge Day on Wednesday, February 24, where they can find out more about the event and offer roles for the jobs fair in April alongside up to 101 other employers across the North West.
There will be no cost for taking part in the fair.

Daniel Kasmir, Chief People Officer at TalkTalk, said: “We’re delighted to be a part of this ground-breaking jobs fair which will ultimately bring together groups of people who wouldn’t normally talk to each other.
"NorthWestWorks4U is challenging the traditional approaches to recruitment by valuing attitude, life skills and potential – not just the qualification.
"It is a difficult time for both jobseekers and employers, but we hope this new collaboration will benefit a network of people we may not otherwise have reached.”
If you are an employer in the North West and would like to participate or pledge job vacancies, please get in touch at: email@example.com
