British title joy for Isaan prospect Mason

Date published: 12 May 2025

Mason Booth, from Oldham's Isaan Muay Thai training centre, fought on the Muay Thai Monarchs promotion at the DW stadium in Wigan.

Mason's bout was for the WMO British bantamweight title and his opponent was Harvey King-Everton from Johnson’s Muay Thai in Preston.

This was the third time they had fought, having both won one each previously, so there was lots on the line for both fighters.

It was another fantastic fight from the first bell, with Mason taking a great win via a split decision verdict.

Mason is 22 years old and lives in New Moston and has been involved in Muay Thai for eight years.

Ste Donnelly, the Isaan gym's head coach, said: "I was so proud of Mason.

"It has been Mason’s most successful year to date after winning the WMF silver medal in Bangkok in March this year, but to win the British title is an additional amazing achievement."
