Saddleworth’s highly respected professional Andy Earlam is delighted to have made the final of a top PGA competition.
Andy said: “It was the PGA North Region qualifier for the PGA Championship at Sand Moor in Leeds.
“The top 20 places qualify for the PGA National event at Ingrebourne Golf Links in Essex in June from 10-13th.
"The day saw tough hard and bouncy conditions which made it difficult, but luckily I managed to finish tied 11th with +2 score and qualified for the final, which I am delighted about, and I am now looking forward to the final.”
Back at Saddleworth, there was plenty of action with a Pro’s Stableford seeing division one won by Stuart Chamberlain 39 from Tom Williams, Mark Timperley and Ian Charnock, all 37.
In division two, Graham Harrop was out on his own with 45, seven more than JB Millward.
