Terry and Matt making their mark at Liquid

Terry Bruce and Matt Schofield of Liquid Oldham are celebrating after the UK’s largest operator of bars and clubs crowned them its General Manager and Deputy Manager of the Year for the North and Scotland.
The Deltic Group recognised its brightest stars at its annual awards ceremony and honoured Terry and Matt for their hard work in building a positive reputation for the late night venue, which is now regarded as a “beacon” premises by local authorities.
Since arriving at Liquid Oldham in 2012, Terry has successfully grown trade and significantly surpassed his sales targets for the last financial year.
Matt, who joined the team at Liquid in 2005, progressing through the ranks to become an award-winning Deputy Manager, has supported Terry all the way and has been key to promoting the club’s entertainment on social media.
The two men received their trophies from chief executive Peter Marks at an event held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire.
Terry said: “I love everything about my job and to receive this award is a real unexpected bonus.
"Matt and I are delighted to share this recognition with the team, who have all contributed so much to making Liquid the town’s best late night venue.”
Matt (pictured above, centre) said: “I’ve had a lot of fun and learnt so much over the past 13 years.
"Everyone that works at Liquid knows it’s the best venue around and now we have the trophies to prove it!”
Regional director Dave Harrison added: “Terry and Matt have superb knowledge of the town and the local competition, which is struggling to compete.
"They always put people first and demonstrate fantastic leadership.”
