One of Oldham's Festival of Ageing events takes place at the Ageing Well hub in the Werneth Park Lifelong Learning Centre
Get Oldham Working, and Ambition for Ageing, are both hosting fringe events, titled ‘Generation working together in Oldham’, as part of Greater Manchester’s Festival of Ageing campaign.
The celebratory events will bring residents from across the borough together to embrace a more positive view of ageing.
A range of activities, including arts and craft stalls, beauty therapy treatments and health checks, information and opportunities around employment, enterprise, and health and wellbeing will be available on the day as part of the celebrations.
The first event takes place on Thursday, July 5, at the Ageing Well hub in the Werneth Park Lifelong Learning Centre, on Frederick Street, OL8 1RB.
The second event takes place at De Niros Restaurant in Heyside on Friday, July 6, between 2-4pm, when special guest musical entertainment will be provided by Sam Ferranti, a fabulous swing entertainer.
If you are aged 50 and over and live in Oldham, don’t miss the chance to join in the Festival of Ageing.
The Festival of Ageing begins across Greater Manchester on Monday, July 2, and finishes on Sunday, July 15.
