Organisations urged to register to become a ‘Good Cause’ in the new Oldham Community Lottery

Action Together are encouraging community organisations within the borough of Oldham to register as a ‘Good Cause’ in the Oldham Community Lottery - a fantastic new fundraising channel that allows supporters to give locally and with ease.

Supporters who sign up to play the Oldham Community Lottery will be given the opportunity to select which registered Good Causes they would like to support, and these organisations will receive proceeds from the ticket sales.

Supporters will be entered in weekly draws at just £1 per ticket, and 60% of each pound will go towards supporting these Good Causes.

All Good Causes will be based in Oldham Borough, meaning participants can directly support charities and voluntary organisations in their communities.

Voluntary and community organisations are invited to join Action Together’s Good Cause Launch Event on Wednesday, June 28, 2pm – 3pm.

This online event will give groups the opportunity to hear all about the new Lottery, how it works and most importantly, how they could benefit from signing up as a ‘Good Cause’.

There will also be a short presentation, followed by a Q&A Session.

Members of the public will be able to purchase tickets via a new dedicated website from Tuesday, July 25, 2023 (the first draw will take place on August 19, 2023).
