Keith Curle leaves Latics after 8 months in charge

Date published: 24 November 2021

Oldham Athletic have confirmed that Keith Curle has left his position at the club 'by mutual consent' after 8 months in charge.

Assistant Coach Colin West has also left the club.

Selim Benachour, current Youth Team manager will take over as Interim Head Coach.

The change will be the ninth under owner Abdallah Lemsagam, who purchased the club in 2018.

Fans have been showing their frustration at the owner, including protests at Boundary Park, pitch invasions, and flares thrown onto the pitch.

Supporters have been concerned about poor recruitment, off-the-pitch issues, high turnover of playing and non-playing staff, and a strained relationship with fans.
