A SYSTEM that allows severely disabled people to use a computer with their eyes has won an Oldham company a prestigious award.
Inclusive Technology won the British Educational Suppliers Association’s Education Resources Award for the idea. Users look at the computer screen and control the mouse cursor with eye movement, then select by blinking.
The awards honour quality and diversity in educational products and are in their 17th year.
Martin Littler, chief executive of Inclusive Technology, said: “Oldham has long held a national leadership in helping youngsters with disabilities. This award is a well-earned tribute to a town which has nurtured young people’s learning over the last 30 years.”
