A FORMER rugby league player has joined the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub as an adviser.
Richard Perkins (37) covers the Oldham and Rochdale areas, offering advice to small and medium-sized businesses with the potential to expand.
Richard has over 14 years’ experience in banking, specialising in the commercial sector. He started his career at NatWest then RBS, where he supported companies ranging from start-ups to charities and international firms.
The businessman is a local man, educated at Oldham Sixth Form College and a former Oldham Roughyeds player. He said: “Business Growth Hub has already been a fantastic partner for firms looking to expand in the Greater Manchester area.”
He added: “People who run young businesses often have to become a jack of all trades, handling all sort of tasks including sales, invoices and marketing. But they can’t do everything themselves and often need more staff. We can help them to consider their options.”
