Students think pink for funds

OLDHAM Sixth Form College turned pretty in pink on Friday during its annual fundraising 'Wear It Pink' day to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Students and staff showed their solidarity to the cause and wore a range of pink items from wigs and wacky accessories to hoodies and hats.
And even Pink Panther could be seen mingling with students around the corridors. Fun activities were held to raise extra cash, such as guess the name of the bear and henna painting, and cakes, samosas and even a chocolate fountain were on sale to raise much-needed funds.
A total of £1,219 was raised for breast cancer charities.
Richard Lee, associate director, said: "It was fantastic to see the college community come together, led by our amazing student executive, to raise such a phenomenal sum for this great charity.
"We are really proud of everyone who organised the event or participated."
