Would-be burglar disturbed

POLICE have put out an appeal after an attempted burglary in Dobcross.
An offender dressed in dark clothing tried to gain entry at a property in Nudger Green at around 7pm last Wednesday.
GMP Saddleworth & Lees said via social media: "The offender attempted prise open a window but was disturbed by the home owner.
"The man was disturbed at the back of the house after pushing a security light into a downward position.
"The offender then pulled open a window at ground floor level and was in the process of climbing in when he was disturbed by the occupant.
"The offender ran through the hedgerow and got into a dark coloured vehicle which had a low profile.
"This unknown man may well have lacerations to his hands and face."
