FIREFIGHTERS are asking people to stop starting fires in an abandoned building before someone is seriously hurt.
Hollins fire crews have attended several reports of fires at an abandoned building on Ridgefield Street, Failsworth in the past week, with the latest incident occurring yesterday evening.
Three fire engines attended the scene at at 7.30pm after someone had broken into the building and set fire to rubbish inside it.
Although no-one was hurt a Hollins Fire crew spokesman said it would not take much for it to escalate.
