YOUNG actors from Newbridge School are taking centre stage tonight and tomorrow for their end of year show 'Aladdin'.
Students from the school's Lumenus pathway, which focuses on the arts, will join Key Stage 4 performing arts pupils and a choir from across all year groups to tell the rags to riches tale of Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and the genie in the lamp. The talented team of actors, singers and dancers have been learning their lines since the start of the year and are ready to wow parents, staff and pupils from nearby schools with their acting ability.
Sophia Pilgrim, English teacher and member of the Lumenus team, said: "We've decided to include a couple of Ariana Grande songs in the production as one of our students was at the Manchester Arena concert when the attack happened.
"The students were rehearsing at the time and were all really affected by what happened so decided to add two songs."
Tonight's show starts at 6.30pm.
For tickets call the school on 0161 883 2401.
