SOME of Britain’s most famous landmarks are being served up on toast.
Baked beans or melted cheese, the usual toppings of choice for a piece of toast, have been replaced by chocolate-spread versions of popular sights, after Warburton’s recruited renowned food artist Dermot Flynn to mark the company’s new national advertising campaign.
Dermot has created a loaf’s-worth of chocolate sketches, on slices of bread, for Warburton’s, which has a bakery in Shaw.
The landmarks chosen for the toast and chocolate treatment, include Blackpool Tower, the Angel of the North and the Millennium Wheel.
Its only the second time Warburton’s, which produces more than two million loaves year, has advertised nationally, but they hope that Dermot’s chocolate handiwork will make their advertising campaign the toast of the town.
