A KEEN photographer has won a top-of-the-range camera after his picture of a BMX rider gained huge praise as part of a campaign to encourage young people to cycle.
Bike Adventures Oldham reached a significant milestone recently when one of the posts on the campaign’s Facebook page reached over 10,000 young people.
Adam Gray (17), of Fitton Hill, secured the most likes and shares on the Facebook page for his image of a BMX rider in mid-air at a track near Saddleworth Golf Club.
Keen photographer Adam said he was thrilled to win and plans to use the Go-Pro Action camera to take even better photographs.
He said: “I’ll be using the Go-Pro as soon as I can and hopefully be able to submit more images about cycling in Oldham.
“This has been a brilliant youth-focused campaign and a great idea to encourage people to submit their content.
“I’ve really enjoyed seeing the amazing images that have been posted by others and found it very inspiring for my own work.”
