Scholes in one

MANCHESTER United legend Paul Scholes proved he was as comfortable on a golf green as he was on a football pitch after taking part in a charity tournament in aid of Mahdlo.
The former England star and his team won the tournament at Saddleworth Golf Club and helped to raise more than £3,500 for the Egerton Street youth zone.
Scholes said: “It was a pleasure taking part in the Mahdlo golf day to support the great work they do with young people in Oldham.”
Mahdlo’s community development manager Claire Crossfield said: “It was a hole in one for us having someone like Paul agreeing to take part. He is a huge supporter of the centre.”
