Performance award for Sarah

OLDHAM-born actress Sarah Lancashire picked up an major award at the prestigious Royal Television Society North-West awards.
Sarah (50) won best female performance in a single drama or drama series, for her role in the BBC 1 production “Happy Valley”.
The former Hulme Grammar School pupil played Catherine Cawood, a police sergeant in Yorkshire coming to terms with her daughter’s suicide.
